Kenya N. Pigg

Kenya is a member of Greater Powerhouse COGIC in Santa Rosa, California where Administrative Assistant, John Jackson is the Pastor.

Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Kenya moved to the city of Santa Rosa as a young child and has remained there where she met and fell in love with Jesus and the ministry of the church. She is a Licensed Missionary and has enjoyed serving in her local church as well as on the District and Jurisdictional levels.

Locally, at Greater Powerhouse, she teaches the High School Sunday School class in addition to the weekly Adult Bible Study. She is President of the Youth Department and a member of both the Adult Choir and Praise Team. Missionary Pigg is not only the Coordinator of the Black History Month program, but for many years has created the curriculum for youth classes to use for the entire month of February.  She has also created a Bible Study series that deals with self-esteem, for teenaged girls among other series.  Missionary Pigg is an integral and valued member of the Communications and Publications team and a member of the Media Team.

On the District level, Missionary Kenya serves as the District Youth Chairlady, works with the Communication Team, and the Music Ministry.

Jurisdictionally, Missionary Pigg has assisted when called upon by singing with the State Choir and once having created a curriculum for Youth Classes during the State Women’s Convention under the administration of the late Dr. Mary M. Welch, State Supervisor Emeritus.   

Professionally Missionary Kenya is a Licensed Psychiatric Technician working as a supervisor of an in-home day program that serves individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, in the City of Santa Rosa. She holds an Associate Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education from Santa Rosa Junior College.

Missionary Kenya is a Podcaster and content creator who produces episodes for her podcast, Spiritual Vitamin C!  She also produces content for her YouTube channel bearing the same name. When Missionary Pigg is not podcasting or creating content she enjoys reading, creating music, and sipping coffee.  She loves the Word of God. One of her favorite scriptures is, “So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12 NASB1995.
